Lauran Spencer, D.D.S. - Cosmetic Dentist in Oklahoma City

Lauran Spencer is a native Oklahoman growing up in Oklahoma City. She attended the University of Central Oklahoma graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2004 and continued pursing her professional degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry graduating with her DDS in 2008. During her time at UCO and OU, she held several student teaching positions which have increased her desire to pursue more teaching opportunities in dentistry.

After graduating, she was accepted into the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency program at OU. The program was a one year residency where Lauran broadened her skills with an emphasis in how to place and restore implants.

Over the years, Lauran has loved being actively involved in the community. She has worked with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the Staples Society, Good Shepherd Free Clinic, and the Oklahoma Dental Association Mobile Dental Unit. She has had the privilege of attending several medical mission trips in Mexico and South America and will be volunteering as a dentist in Peru in May 2010.

Family is very important to Lauran and comes from a large one. She has been married since 2005 and recently welcomed Kale, born July 8, 2009 into the world. She is enjoying motherhood and trying to savor every moment with her new son while continuing to practice dentistry.
